Rates
The going rate for copy editing or proofreading is $12 for 1,000 words, which is about $720.00 for a 200-page book. Most copy editors you find on the web charge over $ 40 an hour. For proofreading (pointing out errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation and spacing), I charge 50 cents a page. For
